Fundraising is a vital part of the Sacred Heart learning environment, committed to sustaining the tradition of Sacred Heart education. While tuition covers roughly 76% of the operating budget of the school, additional resources are necessary to carry this dynamic education forward into a new era and to nurture the unique potential that each child carries, by cultivating classroom, community, and building initiatives.
The Development Office coordinates fundraising projects at Sacred Heart through a variety of programs. Annual Giving Program accounts for approximately 6% of the annual budget and helps to support numerous school initiatives in the classroom and the school in general. Annual gifts make up the difference between what tuition covers and the actual cost of running the school. The money is used for such things as support for teachers' salaries and benefits, teaching tools, educational technology and equipment, continuing education of faculty and staff as well as the maintenance of our historic buildings and grounds. Unlike tuition, Annual Giving contributions are tax-deductible.
